Simple steps on becoming unique. Hello, miss unique.

In the past, i constantly felt myself criticising my body and my face, and thinking why couldn’t it be like that particlar celebrity.

And then the nxt day, my standards of beauty would change if I saw another amazing movie, and I found myself circling arund in his cycle of changing my beauty standards coording to the movies watched or the eating chips, and scrolling through those beautiful intagram models with their skinny bodies, and flawless face.

I realised I wasn’t content with myself, and that frustrated me more and more, making me eat all types of junk foods, thinking I am ugly anyways, and I can never be like those perfect girls.

But was that really true, or was it all in my head.

But I noticed one thing in all of my role models, that they were not only famous for their beauty or gorgeous faces, but for their own uniqueness. Each one had a unique aura to them.

And I though, why not try that on myself, and trust me, it helped get out of thst crazy cycle of consantly struggling to fit in, or meet the society’s standards.

And there came a time, when I looked at myself in the mirror and tears started falling down my eyes as I hugged myself. I couldn’t stop crying, and I hugged mysel only tighter thinking, I had been so cruel to myself.

I had read once in a book, about us choosing our bodies before being born, and it was our right to protect and love it, and embrace it.

And that made me think, if I would just want for one thing, what would it be for myself?
and the answer was very simple, FINDING PEACE WITHIN MYSELF.

So here are a few ways and reasons why you should be unique thn a constant struggle of being beautiful.

1. Notice yourself.

Now, whenever you notice yourself comparing others with you, and thinking I wish I would be like her, stop right there!

Reason:

Whenever you say, “I wish” , you are just proving to yourself that you are not that good looking, and you are just going to attract more of negativity towards your body and your overall image.
Because it only proves that you are lacking somewhere, when you are not really lacking anywhere.

Solution:

Tell yourself, “you are beautiful and unique in your own way.”

Just this simple line, when said out loud to yourself, will shift your negative energy.
But wait! It’s not over yet.
after saying this line, start thinking about your hobby, or anything that makes you happy, this way it would distract yor mind for a while, till you completely forget about it.

In the beginning you would just be able to distract youorself for a little while, but trust me, as the days pass by, you would notice that you criticize yourself very less, and there will come a day, when you ould happy and satisfied in your self.

2. Mirror talk.

This step is my favourite, and I have read about this in a lot of books. that I have read.

Steps:

Look at yourself in the mirror, and try looking in the eyes, and say good things about yourself, all the good things that you are, and something that defines you. Compliment yourself, and say sweet thins to yourself.

# just a happy note- nobody’s gonna judge you okay! And it would be kinda funny in the beginning, but trust me, we have all sung crazy songs in the shower, then why not do something more stupid as well.#

Reason:

it will boost your motivation, and prepare you for the day. And it will remind you of how amazing you are when, you are quite doubting yourself.

Try doing this in the morning.

3. Hug yourself often.

Remeber, that angry bird movie, where the birds were taught to hug themselves, and I always thought it was quiet funny, and I remember laughing out loud, when I had seen that scene for the first time.

But let me tell you, IT WORKS! Yes, it works like crazy.

After you do the mirror talk as in the second step, the last step is to just hug yourself, and trust me, you would feel that eotional connection to your body, which will tell you, that it has been hurt, and our body is very forgiving, it will just give your better ides of being that best version of youself, that too on your own, and ofcourse your body will help you with it, if you ask for it’s help.

So if you are readng this right now, then just pause, and hug yourself.
Even I’ll do that with you. Okay.
